A Jumper is an individual with the ability to teleport or jaunt or ’step to any location on earth. This movement cuts through time and space, allowing instantaneous movement from one place to another.
A Jumper may only travel to a place they know intimately or can see. This is very important, as a jumper usually has a codex of locations saved as a default during stressful situations. Often, a jumper has had some trauma during their first times learning to jump and dealing with personal issues. At least one location to jump to has a strong emotional connection, not necessarily a strategic one.
Jumpers use various methods to keep a codex of jump locations. The most common method is to travel and take pictures. Using the photos, in print or on a phone, can be an easy way to remember a locale and travel to that location. Some use photos from magazines or travel guides, but the disconnect from never having been there will cause a traumatic jump that should only be done in emergencies.
